About the Piano

The Piano - An Instrument of Elegance

The piano is an instrument that uses 88 black and white keys with hammers
attached to string that when depressed, strike a set of 3 strings of which have
been tuned to voice 1 of 166 tones found on the piano. These notes are often
accompanied by other notes to form what is called a chord, typically played
with the left hand, and single notes typically played with the right hand to
form what is called a melody. Many modern orchestra's still use Piano's for
intimate solo's and as an accompaniment to other instruments.
